Just was wondering, if i purchase a 750cfm holley ultra dominator carb, do i need a special kind of intake manifold or and adapter or will it bolt directly to my holley street dominator intake manifold?
Thanks.

Yes, you need an intake that has a 4500 carb flange on it. The only ones for a SB are single planes and there are some dual plane for BB's such as the eddy torker 4500 and the C-454 same intake just different names but they are both Sq. port. An adapter would be needed for any other intake with a 4150 mount and wouls sit very high with poor hood clearance.

Just so you know, every person I know that ever tried a 750 dom hated it.
They just could never figure it out. For whatever reason, they just don't work as good as a 4150??

That was the number one choice carburetor "holley carb selector" came up with for me.

Unless they really got it figured out lately, I have never personally met anyone that liked it.
Everyone ran much better with a 4150. Plus you already have the intake.
Was their a 2nd choice, a standard 750-800??

when you can go up to a 950hp holley i don't know why you would go up to a dominator at that size...is this a street or track only car?

Don't forget I'm old. When I needed more carb, I had to use a 1050 Dom.
They did not have anything bigger than a 850. They did not start making all these fancy 950-1000 HP's
until I already had switched for a long time. I would never have switched, I would have just bought the bigger 4150.
Don't freak out, use the intake you have, and get a new 4150.
There are several carb companies now a days. Send a bunch of them an email,
and hopefully 2-3 will send you all the info you need.

I really like the dominator the way it looks and all the features they describe.
My car is more for the street then the track, however it will see the track a few times a year.
