THis is suppose to be the stuff they use on the interior of plains.

Anyone know about this stuff. May use it instead of DYNAPAD.

6 SHEETS (72 SQ. FT.) OF 3/8" THICK NEOPRENE SOUND DEADENING AND HEAT INSULATION MATERIAL (48" X 36" SIZE PER SHEET) (BLACK COLOR). HEAVY DUTY! IS OIL AND WATER RESISTANT. UNLIKE SOME CHEAPER OPEN CELL FOAMS OR RUBBER PRODUCTS, THIS IS HIGH QUALITY CLOSED CELL NEOPRENE AS USED IN MANY INDUSTRIES TO INSULATE AGAINST HEAT AND SOUND. WHILE MANY OPEN CELL PRODUCTS OFFER DECENT INSULATATION, THEIR OPEN CELL STRUCTURE IS NOT NEARLY AS EFFECTIVE FOR BLOCKING SOUND WAVES.

SIMILAR TO DYNAMAT PRODUCTS, OFFERING GREAT SOUND PROOFING PERFORMANCE AND INSULATION AT A FRACTION OF THE COST, SO YOU'LL NEVER HAVE TO SACRIFICE QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE EVER AGAIN! JUST USE WITH A GOOD SPRAY ADHESIVE FOR SUPERIOR RESULTS.
GREAT FOR CAR ENTHUSIASTS FOR REDUCING NOISE IN ALL TYPES OF VEHICLES, LOWERING ENGINE AND EXHAUST NOISE AND HEAT WHILE IMPROVING CAR-AUDIO ACOUSTICS AND PERFORMANCE. ALSO WORKS GREAT AS LINING FOR TOOL BOXES, PADDING FOR GYM EQUIPMENT, AND EVEN AS A YOGA MAT! PERFECT FOR MUSICIANS SOUND PROOFING STUDIOS OR ROOMS.

Any idea how heavy it is? I wouldnt mind some sound deadening, but most of that kind of stuff is super-heavy.

Haha... I posted that first and THEN read the rest of the first post, lol.

BUT....

1. Did you do EVERYTHING??? Floors, firewall, doors, ceiling, etc? What kit did you get?
2. What adhesive did you use and did is it sticking on there good (especially if you did the roof.)

Mine has some sort of neoprene underlayment in it already, it's green and is white faced (some sort of cloth). It stinks like mold. I've done so much to the exhaust that I'm more concerned about the heat than the sound, but was thinking of doing the aluminum faced foam over the tunnel and exhaust an then maybe a layer of something else... like maybe this.

And you should expect this one.... WE NEED PICTURES!!!! (or at least I do, lol.)

Yes everything inside is getting done. Used DYNAMAT EXTREME

Use the yellow 3M glue. Brush or pray on will work.

Its not 2 threads lol. I made this thread to ask about NEOPRENE, and who has used it. To see if it really works. I already bought it, so I guess Im going to answer my own question LOL.

I was told NEOPRENE with no DYNAMAT is suppose to work well also.
NEOPRENE is suppose to be the stuff they use in HUGE planes. Im not
sure how thick of material they use. Im sure you know NEOPRENE comes
in different thickness, up to a 1/2 inch

I used the DYNAMAT first to take the tingy thin metal sound out.;)
So far everything seems great.

$$$ not so much as time. Fiberglass materials are pretty cheap until you f up and hafta redo something.

If the stock 2gen int wasn't so lame (imho) I would have ponied up the extra cash bit by bit and been done by now.
