What do ya'll do for your bolt Organizations? I been cleaning the shop out and going through my stuff to throw away what's not good and what's is good is going to be cleaned up and painted or what ever it needs to get ready to use again.

Well After sorting out 6 coffee cans of assorted bolts and stuff it dawned on me that I didn't have a way of storing these bolts and such beside throwing them back in the bucket!! I will put them in zip lock bags until I get something to organize them with, but I figured this might be a good topic for the Garage forum and wanted to see how do you keep up with everything in your garage that's bolts and small stuff!

I got this done today,

But nowhere to put them when I am done!

pic = dead.

I have a cardboard box that I throw all my loose automotive stuff in. Said box is bursting at it's duct taped seams. I have one of the stupid plastic organizer things with the little clear drawers that works well for stuff that you have more that one of, but not a lot. Until I see something that really gets it all done... I'm sticking with what I've got... at least until my box dies. besides... my wife can't figure out where the nails / screws (even though those are in one spot, all neat) are and that means she can't out that many hole in my drywall.

harbor freight (http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=95496), but I paid less, watch the sales fliers.

I'm also clearing out a lot of that old stuff. A lot of it I'll never use. Forcing myself not to be a pack rat.

That sure is expensive!

I got 2 boxes like those full of new bolts and such. One is Metric and the other is SAE Grade 8 stuff.

I might see if I can find where they got these boxes and see if they got a cabinet for them also!

Then I just need to find a big bin storage for bigger stuff but not big enough to be on their own.

Keep them coming!

Also is my Picture still dead?

I have been trying to figure a way to keep the "sorted" bolts in order now, best one I have seen is a 1 piece cabinet with slots in at the Fastenal store.

Right now though I keep a drawer in my toolbox full of all the assorted, mixed loose bolts/nuts.

I guess a plywood cabinet would work... just need to find a bunch of plastic boxes or whatever etc.

Adding that to my list of stuff... looks like I'll get to it in the spring of 2013.
