ok this is what i got to the moment.
holley 650cfm vacuum sec carb
edelbrock performer intake manifold
1.5 roller rockers
1 5/8 headers
and a fresh 350 roller block with flat top pistons.
th car has 4.11 open diff and a 700r4 transmision that im planing to swap for a 5 speed manual.
i want to build a street/strip/track engine, basically what i want to do is enjoy driving my car, that means it has to run on pump fuel and i must be able to keep my power brakes.
i would like around 300rwhp (i wouldnt complain if i get more than that :p ), i was thinking about using comp cams xr264 cam, and brodix ik180 heads (AFRs are too pricey for my budget), and later down the road changing the intake manifold to a air gap rpm.
what would you change from that combo?
can i get away with more cam without loosing my power brakes?
would this be an ok engine for track days?
thank you in advances.

Take a look at Pro Filer, they have a 195cc head out
These are designed by Darin Morgan
They are $800 bare or $1000 assembled for a roller cam. Im sure they can assemble them for a flat tappet or hyd roller, call them

With a 350 I am running an xr282 hr roller, and have no problem with the brakes. It gets about 15-16 inches at idle..... the 264 would be much more streetable though, and get better mileage.

Im going to go in between both of you and say the xr276hr. That is, if you dont have a roller block. If you do have a roller block however, I would go with the gmpp LT4 hot cam.
