My parts man is trying to sell me on using PPG vnyl dye instead of SEM. He says it comes in quarts and can be sprayed with a reguler spray gun. About $20 a quart. Has anyone tried this and if so, what were the results? Thanks

Personally I have never tried PPG and have only used SEM and I'm sure others would agree that SEM is the stuff to use for interior dye.
The SEM is also available in quarts if you go to a body shop supplier.
Would like to know of anyone has used it also..

Don't do it, PPG does not hold up as well as SEM's. And every PPG vinyl dye/paint that I have used in the past 20years has had way too much gloss to it.

Thanks, I thought something must be wrong with it. I'll go with SEM.
