No they don't all have that disclaimer. Here are pictures of 80 and 81 LA tags without it.

i think you're confusing the trim tag with the emission sticker, the sticker on the radiator support.

1973 had that information on the trim tag. The 79-81 tags I've seen don't have it.

I can check when I get home, never really paid that much attention to that area, just looked to see if it was there.;)

Got an 81Z in the garage and just checked the TT and no mention of "this conforms to" on it. This an original 81Z by the way

Ok... Just checked the 78 i have it does have the 'This conforms to" on it. So it looks like in 79 they changed it .

My 79Z dosent have it either. So by all the post. Its official they didn't put it on after 78.

That's interesting CrazyCamaro, my '78 Z28 is a Norwood car too and has the disclaimer. What else is interesting about your tag is the dash color is coded CA1, just like mine. The NastyZ28 site that shows these codes says the carmine (dark red) dash should be coded CAR.....http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/tagpop.html#column. This isn't the first time I've seen another CA1.....your interior is carmine right?
