Hey guys,

I was browsing around the internet today and came across this....

http://www.chevyasylum.com/tech/chokwire.html

I am getting ready to put my motor in my camaro and I have put an edelbrock 750 electric choke on it.

I am wondering if this is a common problem?

Thanks guys!

Good info!!!!
The wiper motor supply is a good place to tap into.

Most of our 2nd gens didn't come with an electric choke so we had no pre-ixisting wire to work with.

I used an 80 Q-jet which DID have an e-choke but I ran a new wire for it from the fuse block.

only problem is when the key is in the on position without engine running the choke will open....you can wire them through an oil pressure switch like the newer ones did and then the choke only gets power when the engine is running.

I always thought doing that was a bad idea in case it over heats the coil or something...
