what do ineed to do to install my 80z cowl on a new hood. i already laid it out and drilled the holes, but it want lay flat against the seal. does any one have a hood with the cowl off. does the z hood have any dimples where the studs go thru. thanks.

What you have to do is remove the studs that bolt the scoop down and shorten the posts on the scoop the studs screw into so the scoop will lay flat.
