Anyone know where I can find Moog P/N's?

I want front springs rated @ 550lb, rubber C.Arm bushings(upper & lower w/shafts), Idler Arm, rear Leafs rated @ 150 - 200 lbs & leaf spring bushings & Shackles..

Also, can I change springs without breaking my ball joints? They are only 1 year old with 4 months driven wear on them.. Someone told me whenever you do fron end work, they break when you go to seperate the spindle from the C.Arm..

If so, I need those part#'s too.. Upper & Lower...

Thanks

You can seperate the spindle from the ball joint using a BFH and not damage the joints. If you use a pickle fork than you will need to buy new dust boots for the ball joints.

If so, I need those part#'s too.. Upper & Lower...

Thanks

Try calling Federal Mogul (parent co. of Moog) at 1-800-323-5473 and prepare to be transferred a few times. When you get to the Moog guys they should be able to hook you up. After regular business hours you can try Summit; they stock a lot of Moog parts. Hope this helps.

Remove your shock. Insert a spring compressor. Place your floor jack between the two bushings on the control arm. Remove the control arm bushing mounting bolts. Lower the control arm with the ball joints still intact.

Even with this method, you still need to separate the lower ball joint to clear the spring & compressor tool from the control arm.

Separate the lower ball joint at this time by removing the nut, then take a big hammer and hit the "steering knuckle" at the lower ball joint connection. The impact should pop the ball joint stud out of the tapered mount.

A ball joint fork will just tear up your new ball joint boot.
