Any reason I could not do the above ? Since I am having a hard time finding the T-bolts locally, but I don't mind ordering them. I was putting the rear in tonight and was wondering why I couldn't just use 4 U bolts. I realize the brake line tab would need to be relocated, but otherwise...
Good news is I only stripped two of the front bolt clips on the rear mount. Can I get these from Chevrolet or is there a better fix.

I don't know about using U bolts but if you decide to order the T bolts, they are different lengths depending on whether or not you have a sway bar.

4 u bolts is fine. That is how I do mine.

Cool. Now I need to get the sway bar...Does it attach to the two inners..IE should I get a slightly longer Ubolt for the inner two ?

I replaced my T-bolts with Grade-8 bolts and they fit perfect. The flats of the bolt head fit perfect in the channel slot. U-bolts would have worked but I didn't want to mess with my brake lines again.

I replaced the T and the U with just grade 8 bolts. Is it OK to have no U bolts?
