Lately, my brakes have been squealing. I took the fromt wheels off today to look at them, and those anti-squeal shims that come with the pads sort of came dislodged and shifted on the pads. When looking at the calpier, the shim is shifted and sticking out the side. Did this ever happen to anyone before? First time for me. And these pads are Raybestos Carbon-metallicv...the "good stuff". How do you stick them back on, with that anti-squeal goop?

If you mean the pad material came off of the plate, give Raybestos a call. I bet they will replace them for free, not just to be nice but to test them to see what went wrong.

no, the pad is still intact, just the shim came off the back of the pads. I bought that tacky anti-squeal spray and stuck them back on. They were originally stuck on with some kind of glue, that failed I guess.
