I just had an excellent experience with this that I thought I would share. I have a 2000 Bonneville SSEi that looks brand new because I'm one of those people who park in the next county when I go to Wal Mart.
Anyway, it was in the garage and a pushbroom fell off the wall and dented the C pillar. I called this guy up and you absolutely can't tell where the dent was. So if anyone has some dings that haven't damaged the paint, this is an excellent way to go. It was only $50 and was well worth it to get it fixed before my wife saw it after the way I get on her about where she parks and is always attracting dents.

I have had them do a few of my cars and was impressed, But they sometimes have to drill a hole to gain access to the dent. If they can get to the dent without drilling a hole, this way to go.

I totally agree with painteless dent removal. I was backing the 75 out of the garage with the drivers door open slightly. I slipped and let go of the door and it hit the right rear corner of the 69. Of course, it didn't do anything to the 69 which was in the restoration process anyway. I put a big dent right across the body line below the door handle. Thank god the $4,500.00 paint job wasn't craked or chipped. I called the guy and he was able to make the dent disappear and didn't cause any damage to the paint.

So what do they do, just work the dent from behind?

On mine, it was all from behind. He took off the interior trim but couldn't get at the dent because of the double wall on the pillar. As 70SS/RS/L78 said, he had to drill a hole and then fill it with a plug.
Considering the alternative was a repaint of the pillar area, the plug sounded pretty good to me.

They use metal rods (picks) from the inside of the panel and then use a plastic coated hammer to rework and shrink the metal back into shape. After three years, you still can't tell that it was ever dented.
