Old School 09-29-2003, 10:21:00 PM The hardest part on putting them on is getting the old front bushing pressed out and the new ones pressed in. U need a press to do this. No biggie really, I just like to do everyhting myself and thats what made mine sit in the corner of the garage for 5 months. lol I didn't feel like taking them to a friends shop and having to ask him to help me out, but what r friends for huh? They are a pretty simple to adjust to, but kinda hard to get a wrench to losen the locking nuts, pliers will do the trick. They are worth every peeny tho!!!! Old School 10-01-2003, 09:36:00 PM I went from 1.79's to 1.75's (motor) with setting it up at the house and not touching it after that. Next time out, I plan of playing with them to see if I can get more 60 outta it. BADBLACKZ 10-04-2003, 04:02:00 PM Follow instructions to the letter!!! Make sure to roll the car back and forth at least 10 feet before you set the pre-load on the as to take any bind off the leaf springs... Here is were a set of four corner scales come in handy!!!! Just like a four link equipped race car you can watch the weight come off the front of the car and move to the rear!!! If possible, use dummy weight in the drivers seat to act as you, then set your pre-load starting with 1 and 1 1/2 turns, then go from there... The rolling the car back and forth thing may sound like a pain but it is VERY important if you run a spool!!! My car picked up greatly switching from S/S J-Bolts, from 1.6/1.65 to 1.50... Great gains all the way around, no more twisting, no more uneven tire ware, great ride on the street, I could go on and on praising this product but I did that on a different thread.... GOOD LUCK!!! P.S. Remember, you will allways have a half of a turn more adjustment on the drivers side to compensate for your weight, unless your only 75 pounds http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/wink.gif ------------------ 1970 1/2 RS Z28 S.B., Pump Gas, Radials, Full Tails ( 3 1/2" ) 10.59 @ 129 [This message has been edited by Z COOKS (edited October 04, 2003).] |
