I have a 72z. The deck lid springs do not have enough tension to hold up the deck lid. I have adjusted and that does not seem to make much difference. I am not sure if they have lost tension over time or if the spoiler has been added later requiring a heavier spring. Any advice?

I'd go with your second guess that the spoiler was added, and the springs aren't the right ones.

There are two different springs. One is used for trunks without spoilers, and the other is for spoiler trunks.

Try Moementum. He probably can get you the right ones to solve your problem.
