Does anyone know where I might be able to find the rubber that wraps around the front and rear bumpers on a '76 Camaro? Surely there's gotta be a way to get this stuff or something that is used in place of actual repro. There's so amny of these cars with these types of bumpers that it's gotta be fixable. Mine is still intact, but it has chips and cuts in it. Please help!

To the best of my knowledge, these bumper strips are not reproduced yet, so you have two options. Try and find someone willing to sell that has a set of NOS strips, or try and find a good set of used strips for sale or at a wreckers yard.

So you mean to tell me that there is absolutely no way that I can get something else to replace these from anywhere except a wreck yard? Someone surely must have another idea. Thanks for your reply, though.

If you look back at past posts, you'll find a number of people complaining about the lack of good bumper rubbers. The people with 74's have an even tougher time because the design changed after that year, they have the added trouble of finding good end cap pieces. Like I said, swap meets, people who may have good NOS parts sitting in their basement, or good used parts are about the only way I have heard of getting good strips.
If you wanted to go non original, you could always just get some rolls or pieces of heavy industrial rubber and attach it to the bumpers somehow.

Hey, thanks Nick. Guess I'll have to suffer with what I have until I find something better!
