During my sanding around the light i found 2 pin holes about the 3 O'clock position on 2 of my lights. I don't have a welder so what would be the best way to fix them. I thought about buying a welder but don't know anything about welding.

hey eagle,

my bodyman found similar holes in mine. when he tried to weld them up some of them burned larger. he managed to get them but it took time.

i have heard of a type of filler that has metal in it. you may want to check into that.

good luck

the only way to fix them is with a welder, the metal filler will absorb water from the backside and come off, it was originaly designed for people trying to pass their cars off as completly original, there is another product that works, but is not a permenent repair it is commonly called tiger hair, it's fiberglass filler waterproof, and hold fairly decent, but eventually water will get behind and pop it

Hey Eagle,

Did you go to the wings and wheels car show? I had the red and black 72 if you were there.

The guy that did my car was super, but I don't know if he would do another. His name is Keith Robinson and he owns Jacob's auto in Crawford county. You could call him. His number is listed in the Roberta section of the phone book. I am also in the Middle Ga. Cruisers and I can ask around and see if anyone else has any suggestion.

you could braze or lead the hole up

well i found more rust and holes in the trunk that will require the whole pan to be replaced so i guess i just have it welded.
My Uncle has a friend that works on car that like to weld so i will just go over there and help. I might even get to learn alittle bit about welding. Thanks to all for all the ideas.
