My new cowl hood (metal) from about the middle to the back on both sides the hood gradually rises above the fender. Ive removed all the hood stops and even some of the molding and it still sits like that. The hinges are bolted all the way down as far as theyll go to the inside of the fedners also. Any ideas. This is a pretty good quality hood its not like a walmart special of anything. I also thought it might be hitting the wipers but thats not it.

I just installed one on my 72, same issue on drivers side only. I can't find anything that is in the way. I used same hinges/bolts, just different hood. I hope someone has a solution/suggestion.

you hinges are adjusted wrong on the fender the back bolt goes all the way down and the front all of the way up your hood goes under the stops not on top look at the way the back of your hood is made and you will get the picture.

jb is right about those back two stops, the back of the hinge has an oval cutout to let it hook underneath the stop, not rest on top of it.

I just went outside with a flashlight, my neighbors must think I am an idiot. I see the oval you are talking about, but it is not hitting anything. I will look at it some more tomorrow to see if I can correct the problem. Thanks for the input.
