It seems to me that someone was asking about the C & C brand t-tops (the square ones)recently. I was looking around e-bay and found a set up for bids. It's starting at $20.00 but no one has bid yet. If anyone's interested, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2436270256&category=39405

I'm always vaguely looking for a spare set of glass (I have a complete setup that was yanked out of a Firebird- i.e. framing, roof support, etc.)- so it may be me you're thinking of.

Either way- thanks- too bad seller has a reserve and it's unlikely alot of people will bid on these (I won't outbid myself if seller won't tell me the reserve). A complete set with framing and all went for $100.00 a couple months ago from a guy in Florida- but I didn't contact him until a week after the auction ended and the buyer had not yet communicated with him- so/but he had already negotiated a deal with someone else.

Turns out guy's reserve is $100.00 and you can't see the condition of the tops- they look pretty scratched in the picture on ebay- and no picture of the back side at all. When these go for $100.00 for a complete set w/frames on ebay when they appear, and Hurst/Fisher tops are going for $20-80 typically- I think this guy's out-to-lunch (part of the problem with t-tops is they aren't all that small/light for shipping either). But hey- whatever- if someone's local to him it may be an ok deal if they're in good shape.

If you see any more out there- let us know...

I'm always looking for a spare set.

I can't believe that a set with Frames went for $100.

His picture quality is poor, and apparently these fit that rare 1-off FIREDIRD car.

I wonder how he plans to pack them as they are quite large and heavy...

If he sends me the pictures I requested (Clean, Bottom side, Handle/mechanism) I will forward them on to you.

Watch ebay- when the C&C tops appear (not all that often- but when they do)- they always seem to be cheap (how many people really have the C&C tops to start with?)- not AS cheap as most of the Fisher and Hurst- but still not pricey. One of the sunroof companies in California (name eludes me at the moment) sells brand new C&C tops (NOS? Repro? -don't know) for a couple hundred $ each side.

I have a spare set out of a Trans Am, in Ohio, if anybody needs some. They came with my 71 RS SS, no need for them. $25 if you pickup.

I had no idea there were three different types of T-tops....

Eric,

Please feel free to give me any info on replacement tops for C&C as I have believe that the tops are unavailable in the aftermarket.

I would love to buy a new set for my car, but even the 'sunroofdoctor.com' place only has the trim.

The guy on EBay DIDN'T mention that one of the hold-down clamps is gone (unavailable) and the scratches seen in the photos don't go away when he sent me the 'Cleaned up ' jpgs.
