Hi,
I'm new to the forum and the Camaro's. I live in England and have just got my hands on a 1980 Z28 Auto. It needs a few things doing to make it good and proper but just had a question. When are these cars due services and what are the best parts to use on them. i.e. Oil, Filters, Sparks etc... Thanks for any help. Did do a search but couldn't find anything on this.

Since you just got the car, you should change all the fluids, plugs, pcv, coolant, wires and filters, then keep track from then on.
Oil changes 3-5k miles
trans changes 20k
plugs, air fliter, coolant, fuel 20k
cap rotor wires 30k
rear axle 50-100k
I think the best oil is the one on sale or cheapest, same with plugs for a pretty stock car.
These are all on the conservative/more frequent side.

Thanks for your help on this. That will make life a little easier than guessing it. I've looked on loads of sites and haven't seen any idea of the correct miliage these should be done, so thanks a lot for your help!!!

Oil changes 3k miles or 3 months whichever is first.
trans fluid changes, plugs, air fliter, coolant, fuelfilter, cap rotor wires ,rear axle fluid every year. (or more frequenlty depending on the kind of summer driving i do. oh and i fill up the gas tank every few days too. hehehehe
