View Full Version : the begining of my disc brake conversion

after the dirrential cover was off i had to remove the screw and the pin to get the c clips out to remove the axles as seen below the screw and pin

then u can unbolt the whole drum and out it comes

then u put the axles back in and line them up

I've never removed the axles before. What makes them hard to replace? (Where is Atoka Tenn.??? I was born and raised in the Bristol area)

I wasn't hard its was just the hardest part so far but getting everything to line back up is stressfull then put the clips on and put axles back in place

yeah they have neeed attention for three years but I haven't had all my stuff to do the up grade till this year but I thought I was going to do it much sooner so I never messed with the drums

test fitted the box we found on a 68 gto now i will paint it

first coat on gear box

then mounted the driver side caliper brackets which go to the front on a staggered shock car

after a little massage of the sholder the rotor went right on

second coat and a different color on the top

when i put the rear back together I had to replace these amazing what u find
