I have a 74 camaro, and it has a couple little problems, im hoping you guys could help me out.

First off, my blinkers stopped working. All of my turn signal bulbs are working, so I dont think thats the problem. I changed the little blinker box thing, still no turn signal. However, my warning flashers DO work. Whats up with that? When I flip my turn signal lever, the lights just illuminate, no blinking.
Second, my gas meter guage is having problems. It will read the amount of gas in the tank until there is 1/4 tank of gas, then it just holds there, and doesnt go down. On top of that, it started bouncing, anytime I go over a bump it will bounce from 1/4 tank to a full tank, and back down to 1/4 tank, ect.

Hope you guys can tell me a couple quick fixes, I want to sell my car asap, and I feel these little things will effect people's judgement of the quality of the car, know what I mean? Thanks.

Stupid questions but...
1) By blinker box thing, do you mean the flasher on the fuse panle? If not try that.
2) Are you sure the all the bulbs are working? They may work with say, the parking lights on, but not with the signal on. There are seperate filaments in the bulbs for regular lights and signal/brake (brighter). These are just a couple of guesses.
3) Are you selling the car safetied/certified? If not I wouldn't worry about it.

I made the mistake of letting my Trans Am hear how I was thinking of selling it. Darned if it didn't immediately start fouling plugs, cross-firing and running rich...all at the same time. So far, I've had to fit a new Distributor, rebuild the carby (only to be told its been made up of parts of different model old Holleys).
At least it starts and runs now....carby is still a bit average....I'm waiting on a new 650. Looking at the carby/dissy, I suppose parts that are better than 20 years old are bound to wear out...but at the same time?...and just after I mention I'm thinking about selling?......wooooo, spooky!
PS. I'm not selling now....couldn't get my money back for the stuff I've replaced/fixed...so I'm keeping the TA. (probably the car's whole game plan in the first place, I think I'm the only owner of this car that ever spent money on fixing stuff....I think it likes me http://www.nastyz28.com/ubb/smile.gif )

The hazard lights and turn signals use seperate flashers. Try switching the new flasher you just bought with the other second flasher to see if they work since you know that the hazard lights already work.

I didnt know there were 2 different flashers, i changed one out but i had the same results, it must have been the hazard. Ill give it another go.

on my 77 the turnsignal fuse isn't in the fuse box. there is 2 wires that hang down with a L shaped plug on the end that a fuse like the turnsignal fuse plus into.

I'm having nearly the same problem. Turn on the turn signal - nothing. Hold the brake down and turn on the turn signal - corresponding brake light goes out. Changed both flashers (twice), the fuse, made sure bulbs were good. I thought the switch in the steering column was bad until it was pointed out the the light goes out when I flick on the signal. Just can't get the freakin thing to blink. Any help would be great.
