hey i need to know why my edelbrock 600 cfm manual choke carb isnt giving it gas we i want it u know what i mean like sometimes when i floor it , it sputters then iit gives it i have a 78 camaro with a 350 and i bought this carb from ia guy i know and i rebuilt it and i knew i did good cause i had my auto tech teacher help so i think thats kinda weird if you know what you think the problem is plz help

The carb just needs to be tuned right. It could be the accellerator pump not giving enough fuel, or it could be the secondaries opening too slowly. These things need to either be fixed by a professional, or as I used to do it, by getting a series of different cams and springs and testing each one to see which worked right.
But since your auto teacher helped you before, ask if he can show you how to tune the various components of the carburator.

I have two that I don't run anymore because of the same thing. But having said that, check the accelerator pump rod (be careful when bending the "S" linkage it will break easily). Re adjust the float level (many were not correct from factory). And don't try to force too much fuel into it (IE use a fuel preasure regulator if necessary). You can find info on all of this stuff on www.edelbrock.com. (http://www.edelbrock.com.) Go into installation tips. I hope you have better luck than I did.
