I'm perplexed? (cause I'm not a computer guru.)

How do you guy's put your signature at the bottom of your posts/replies? And, are we, or I should ask, is it possible to put an "avatar" below the signature line?

Anyone?

And please speak gently,,,,I've read that section on UBB Codes,,,but it's all greek to me!

nah. I got laid off last month and sometimes just can't sleep so surf and dreamin the net is the only way to keep my sanity at times.I'm gonna go to bed now again and try to grab some zzzzzzzzzz, have a good one

Click the link that says profile.
Edit your profile.
In the signature section - type something in.
That's your signature.
When you post something, there's a little box below this window (options) to "show signature". Click that.

Whatever you typed in for a signature will show up in your reply.

Once you get the hang of that, then you can get fancy with your signature (bold stuff, put a link to your homepage).

You aren't allowed to post a picture in your sig.
Nor do we have avatars. I considered adding these, but I think it would be a poor trade off in speed. I noticed on another place that added avatars, I'm having a hard time loading it now. Just for ha-ha's I click on some avatars and notice people are jamming a 75K picture into a 30 x 50 window. times 10 avatars, that's 750,000K of crap I gotta load to read some stuff. Some people get fancy and put animated avatars on thier replies. Cute, but it makes the place unusable (for poor sobs like me).

You have to go to your profile and write something in the signature box, then press ok, or what ever it says on the bottom of the page, then when you post you just hit the show signature button before you hitsubmit reply.

Mike, I know you have better things to do than be the cop for registered names but there is one on the Questions Forum that is of pretty questionable taste. Do we reallly need it?
