In the Camaro section I came across the thread for the 77 Z-28 one day and had to read all of the dead gum thing. Well soon after reading it I had to find me a true 77 Z-28 with matching numbers so here it is in all it's glory.

That z28 looks so nice, the green looks very cool. Ive only seen maybe 2 or 3 of that color since 1977, my first z28 was a 1977, it was white with red interior, just like the one in all the ads, i drove the car for 9 yrs. then a guy at the pontiac dealership bought it from me, sure wish i had it now. my 1981 z28 is white to, so i guess its cool, the 81 has a 406 sbc so it is fast, but there is always something about those first cars hu ??

No current pics! I have the motor almost ready to put back in. Pulleys, brackets and such sand blasted and refinished and ready to go back. I'm not very mech inclined at all so I have to ask for help from friends and family. Seems like everybody has home/yard projects going on right now. But when it's just me I've been following the assembly manual and trying to get things going. I just prefer someone there with me to make sure I'm not screwing nothing up.

let me go on record right now and say I will NEVER do a total resto again. It's too hard to motivate myself to do this much work after a day of work at regular job and a part time job.

Hopefully gonna help Shane with his son's project Camaro and I'll recover the seats in it. Then Shane and I will take my car to his shop and try to get going back on mine so I can finally show some progress it has been too long since I've done anything to it. It takes money and i for some reason I am still broke but their is plenty to do with what I do have ready to go back on car.

I hear the broke part for sure. I love your car great colour very classy. You did a great job on it.

I know money is tight but have you considered spraying 2 pound foam on the inside of the structure? It would make a huge difference in the heat in there. One good side effect it would bake any finishes you spray as it is. Cheapest car oven I ever saw. LOL
