Yo! Sorry,...not an F body, it's just my '78 Scottsdale P/U! It's the project I need to do right now! It's fun too!
Since I seem to be moving right along for now, I'll start a new thread to update on. The old 350 is out and I've done alot of cleaning, degreasing, and finished the floorboards. Removed a number of jumper wires and garbage connections. My '73 donor flatbed has already given up it's rear window to the '78,...and if it ever warms just a bit, I'll be able to intsall the new chrome trim too!
The plan is to rebuild/transfer the entire driveline from my rusty '73 4x4 3/4 ton 350/350TH to my "free truck", a '78 4x4 3/4 ton 350/350TH. I'll put together a VERY nice 350 to power it. The '73 has a Dana 44 front axle with Warn locking hubs, the "bulletproof" transaxle, and a 5560 lb rated rear axle! The '78 has a full-time 4x4 "corporate" front axle, the (whimpy) transaxle, and a 4120 lb rated rear axle.
And I'll build the 350,...Todd.
