Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of swapping the original 307/powerglide for a crate 350/ turbo 350. Could someone please tell me if the 71 Camaros used the electric kick-down on the gas pedal. Will the accelerator cable for the 307 two-barrel work with a rochester 4-barrel? Is there anything else that's different between the two transmissions that I'll need to know for this conversion?

Thanks, Paul

You'll need the correct 4 barrel brackets for the carb, and the 350 trans kickdown, just my 2 cents, DC

Thanks for the responses BigBlock and My24K. That'll make my life a lot easier right now. I thought that I was going to have to dig into the electrical system for mods. As far as the carb brackets-no problem. Thanks again for your help, Paul

Spectre make a decent throttle bracket that I used for my V6-V8 conversion...
(The upper one is used with an automatic detent cable. Lower one for manual.)

It mounts using one of the carb-intake bolts.

Many auto parts stores carry this bracket and Jegs does for sure.
I think your current throttle cable will probably work fine.

Good Luck
