Good question. I dislike buying stuff over internet. I generally am quite carefull about sending some unknown person some money for something and hope the deal works out. I would guess most of YOU are too. I try and trust people but there are a few "bad apples". The bad apples get found out quick enough. I'm honest. I wouldn't sell anything that I personally wouldn't use. I have some parts, like dashboards.... but the conditions are unacceptable for sale. And I will mention this. If you need a good piece off a part, I'll sell that. In many cases I'm simply dumping stuff that I don't need, or have collected over the years. In some cases, when I really want or need something, I'll price it higher. Or, I'll tell you where else to buy it and let you decide who to give your money to. I'll even give you the part numbers (like the fellow who needs a steering wheel and horn button). I can do the wheel, but not the button. Maybe he'll buy it (the wheel). Maybe not. But at least he knows where to get a steering wheel AND a new button for his car.

But don't listen to me, here are a few "satisfied customers".
(I HAVEN'T GOTTEN PERMISSION FROM THESE PEOPLE YET TO USE THEIR NAMES, BUT WILL SHORTLY IF THEY SAY I CAN IDENTIFY THEM).

" I just got the brackets. I am impressed as to their condition: Excellent!! Just what I needed. I will definitely come back to you for my future needs. Thanks"
Mark Weber, Colorado

" Hey how's it goin? This is Brian up in Ohio, the guy you sold the 305 engine to a while ago. Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that we finally got the engine in and my car's running great. I'm like a kid with a new toy. :o) Thanks for the engine!!"
Brian Blatz, Dayton, Ohio.

Hey thanks a lot for writing back. I will do like you said. I got a little busy with this car of mine. Man I wish I had the knowledge that you have.
- a female, who simply asked questions... didn't buy anything.

I am writing to say you are responsible for keeping my car on the road. The seat rails? Unobtainable from the dealer. Unobtainable in Canada. Unobtainable in the US. Unobtainable. It would have been curtains for this Camaro had it not been for my Dawsonville seat rails. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
- a female school teacher simply looking for interior restoration advice. Wound up buying seat rails in exchange for parts. I got slammed (shipping) going through customs.

"The parts arrived in great shape and promptly. They even fit!! My thanks for your prompt and knowledgeable service. Hopefully, I'll be looking for more stuff in the future. You'll be the first one I contact."
Mike Little, Burnsville, MN

I purchased power steering pump brackets from MadMike. I was very impressed with their condition. I have to admit, I was a little nervous buying parts over the 'net, but MadMike is very honest, and I received exactly what he described. I would heartily recommend him to anyone looking for Camaro parts.

Hi Mike, Got the emblem. Thanks a lot! Never thought I'd find one. Just what I needed. - DJ

Mike: Received parts and they are working fine. I have to admit I was a little worried, but it's nice to know there are still honest people left in this world. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

To be fair, not everything goes smoothly. Sometimes I gotta deal with jokers like this. Name withheld so I don't embarass him.

F**k Off - Dude down the street has one for $25. U s**k!!!!!! HAHAHAHA

Then I get email like this and I remember why I'm doing this:

I really enjoyed your web page. Most pages cover things that you could find in the news papers or magazines, yours will not be found in either. I just purchased a 1977 z28 camaro for my wife. She wants to fix it up so people will look and also for her to drive (just another thing added to the honey do list to work on). Keep up the effort and know that many people find it very usefull. - LTLWILLY@aol.com

Just wanted to tell you that your web page is awsome. Keep it up! - IROCZ350@aol.com

  Hi Mike,

Im just writing to tell a little story and give a little thanks.
Ive stumbled onto your 2nd gen page well over a year ago and have been
enjoying it ever since. I just wanted to personally write you and say
Kudos on a kick-ass site! Best ive found by far and i like your
attitude too. You are a die hard car nut and a knowledgable one as
well...which ive found to be rare on the net as far as 2nd gen's go
anyway. Ive learned alot from your site as well as doing my own
work, going off of pure desire and common sense. Ive taken a beater 73
Camaro and turned it into an almost decent car...haha..which only
awaits paint, the engine and a drivetrain that can handle it. Anyways ,i
just stumbled onto the bulletin board for the first time and found a new way to get
questions answered and make some friends...again thank you. I have lots
of questions that i need answers too so i posted a few today. If i
might have your $0.02 it would be appreciated because ive grown to
repect your knowledge of these cars. This is my first drag car and im
goin into this head first, full of piss-n-vinegar and i need all the
  help i can get!

Thanks again for a great page and a great effort...people like u make
all the difference to people like me, dude!

  Sincerely,
  Jason Preiss
  San Diego CA

Enough said.
