New & Improved Features
To help you quickly zero in on parts, I added a search function to the parts area.

I'm consolidating some of the parts sections so finding stuff is easier.

I'm trying to get a better inventory of what I have available in used condition.

Not many people used the online order tracking feature, so I quit using it (for now).

New & Improved Features
To keep things simple, informative and improve timelyness of service, I've added some new functionality to the site. The one thing that makes things tough on me is the various sources and amounts of parts I have or can get. This isn't as simple as tossing up a shopping cart, as that would be trying to pound a square peg in a round hole. This system will allow me to keep things personal still, yet reduce the probability of me dropping the ball on getting back to someone who needs parts.
Note: I temporarily junked this system for several reasons.

Ordering: You can continue to order from me via email like before, but I'll create an order form that you can use if you'd like.
Any parts request I recieve, that I can potentially fullfill will be entered online and you will recieve a username/password so just you & I can see it. This will be a "pending order". If I have the part you need, or you decide to buy something, the status will change from pending to "ordered". Once something is shipped, the status will change to "shipped" (and you can see the tracking #, etc).
Previously, if people asked me for a widget, I didn't have a decent way of tracking the request. This should fix that problem. Also, you can check the status of an order without having to wait for an email back from me.

See my privacy statement for additional information.

(Obviously, if I know I can't get something, I won't create an order)

As you may be able to notice, I'm playing around with how to present parts. Various sections have various different methods of displaying stuff. As I figure out which way works best, I'll move other sections to take advantage of what we think works best.
I'll try and have an itemized list of parts as well, and then expand on that list. This should make it easier for you to comparison shop.
Eventually, a shopping cart may work, but I'll probably have to use a combination of custom options so that everything is tied together and functions in a streamlined and logical manner.

Pardon the mess. I'm putting a priority on maintaining the message board and all the Camaro information (which is a full time job in itself). Online ordering will be turned on & FUNCTIONAL soon, the current method is broken and it was for testing/placement purposes only. (It was a nice try). This page is again getting some attention and will be a fancy & functional catalog. In the meantime, it should convey a fair amount of useful information.

Catalog Update: 5/5/99
Rather than have all the above sections blinking at you that I've updated them, let's just say I've populated next to every section above with graphics.
I've begun interlinking everything and finalizing the overall outline of the catalog. Most of the graphics will help you visualize what components are being described. I'm also photographing a lot of parts & assemblies still.

Some of the graphics are copyright & courtesy of GM - Parts & Illustration Manuals. As with other parts of my website, I hope they don't get pissed at me for using their information to make our lives easier in fixing our cars. (obviously, this information is used for illustration purposes only - not for resale. Do not copy it without prior permission from me, otherwise the stuff will be floating around all over the place. Then the General WILL get pissed.

In an effort to make this place educational as well as informative, I've begun adding the technical information into the catalog. Not only can you see how parts look, how they work, how to check them, how they inter-relate to other parts, but you can see what you need to order to repair/fix the car.

Update: 3/13/1999
Due to spectacular growth and current improvements that I'm putting together, this site has replaced my used Camaro parts page. The old page is retired.

I am actively working on adding NEW parts in with descriptive content/images, part numbers and prices. In the meantime, you'll need to continue to order parts via the old method.

I'm currently trying several ideas on how to make ordering easier. (credit cards), however, for the "luxury" of being able to take credit cards, it'll most likely require me to raise my prices, since the Credit company gets a 5% cut of the sale.
